We’re on the lookout for a Front-End Engineer who loves building modern, responsive, customer-facing apps that actually work for the people using them. If clean, performant code gets you fired up and you enjoy making products faster, more accessible, and easier to use, you’ll fit right in.

You’ll be joining a cross-functional team working on a new React/TypeScript-based platform. It’s a big improvement from an older legacy setup, and there’s plenty of room to shape how we build things. From design systems to performance tuning, we’re serious about doing front-end engineering well – with strong CI/CD practices, proper testing, and a shared focus on user experience.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

• Build and maintain modern SPAs and server-rendered apps using React, Next.js, Node.js, and TypeScript
• Translate designs (Figma) into responsive, accessible interfaces using semantic HTML, modern CSS, and design system components
• Hook into REST APIs with confidence, shaping payloads and managing state with tools like Zustand or Redux
• Keep things fast and lean – think lazy loading, code splitting, and Core Web Vitals in the green
• Write tests you don’t hate: unit, integration, end-to-end with Cypress or Playwright, all tied into CI
• Ship with confidence through automated pipelines, feature flags, and canary rollouts
• Keep one eye on performance (DevTools, Lighthouse) and the other on observability (New Relic, Sentry)
• Collaborate with platform engineers, designers, product folks and QA – and share what you know along the way

You’ll need:

• 5+ years building and shipping real-world web apps
• Strong fluency with Node.js, TypeScript, JavaScript (ES2021+), HTML5, and modern CSS
• Hands-on experience with React/Next.js, including SSR and component libraries
• A good eye for design consistency, accessibility, and mobile responsiveness
• Confidence with Git, pull requests, and working in an agile squad

Bonus points for:

• Ember.js experience or curiosity to help sunset it
• Mobile dev chops with React Native (or similar)
• Exposure to Docker, IaC (Terraform/CDK), and cloud infrastructure
• Understanding of web security fundamentals (OWASP, etc.)
• Open source contributions or technical writing
