ThroughLine is where crisis support happens. Millions of people find the right help through our network — on ChatGPT, Google, Pinterest, Roblox, Tinder and more. And you'll be the person ensuring that data is accurate, provider relationships are strong, and our network keeps growing.
We move fast and we trust our people. You'll have real autonomy and responsibility from day one. You'll own your providers, your relationships, and your impact. You'll be part of a team that's genuinely diverse because the people we serve are genuinely diverse. We're building ThroughLine to reflect that.
This is for you if… - You're ready to own outcomes, not just execute tasks
- You've worked elsewhere and realized you want something more meaningful
- You're early in your career and hungry to grow in a startup
In this role, you'll grow fast. In 90 days, you'll have launched partnerships that didn't exist before. In 6 months, you'll own a region and know it better than anyone. In 12 months, you'll have skills and a portfolio that transfers anywhere.
The roleWe're looking for a Dataset Integrity & Partnerships Specialist to be the guardian of our helpline provider network — ensuring millions of people in crisis can access accurate, verified support when they need it most.
You'll maintain the precision of this data across regions, build respectful partnerships with crisis service providers, onboard new helplines to expand coverage, and respond to inquiries about service availability. You'll do this fluently in English and at least one other language (Arabic, German, or Russian preferred, but the right person matters more than the specific language).
This work matters because accuracy saves lives. When someone in crisis searches for help in their language, in their region, we need to be right.
Why this role existsOur helpline directory is the backbone of ThroughLine. When someone in crisis searches for help on ChatGPT or Google, they're relying on data we maintain. That data needs to be accurate — contact numbers that work, hours that are current, services that match reality.
Crisis helplines operate under real constraints: they're under-resourced, serve specific communities in specific languages, and their capacity changes seasonally. They want to help but don't always have bandwidth for external requests.
This role exists to bridge the gap between the precision our directory needs and the reality of how crisis services operate. You're not just updating records. You're maintaining trust between ThroughLine and the providers who make our work possible.
What you'll do - Identify gaps in our helpline network that nobody else is seeing. Vet new helplines and decide if they're worth bringing on. You own your region's coverage.
- Build partnerships with crisis service providers — understand their constraints, solve their problems, earn their trust. You'll be the person they want to talk to.
- Keep our helpline data accurate and current. When someone in crisis searches for help in their language, in their region, we need to be right. That's on you.
- Ship solutions fast. Use AI tools to research, validate, communicate, and problem-solve.
- Figure out what works and iterate.
- Own your impact. Every partnership you build, every helpline you vet, every data gap you close affects millions of people.
What this isn't… - Pure data entry. You're building relationships and solving problems, not just updating records.
- Traditional account management. You're working with crisis services, where
- conversations matter and stakes are real.
- Slow-paced. We move fast and iterate based on what works.
- Easy. We're solving complex problems and there's always an enormous amount of stuff to do.
What You’ll Bring - How you think
- You're self-confident but humble enough to learn. You know what you don't know yet, and you're excited to figure it out.
- You're meticulous about accuracy — helpline data precision saves lives. No shortcuts, no "good enough."
- You're comfortable with ambiguity, context-switching, and figuring things out as you go.
- You listen well and build trust naturally. People want to work with you.
- You're mission-driven. This work matters to you.
What you need - Fluency in English and at least one other language (Arabic, German, Russian preferred).
- Strong research skills. You can find information across diverse sources and verify it.
- Comfort using AI tools in your daily workflow to research, validate, communicate, and problem-solve.
Bonus - You've taught yourself something complex (a language, a tool, a skill) because you wanted to grow.
- You've shipped something independently — a project, a side thing, something you built and put out into the world.
- You've worked across cultures or languages.
- You have some experience with CRMs or data tools (but we'll teach you if you don't).
What we offerThroughLine is well-funded and based in Auckland, New Zealand. Here are some reasons to join us.
- The best benefit: your team
- You'll be joining a small, cross-disciplinary team. Your direct manager built our data integrity systems from the ground up. She's meticulous, direct, and genuinely invested in your growth.
- You'll work alongside two other Dataset Integrity & Partnerships Specialists (they'll help you succeed, not compete with you).
- You'll learn from engineers who ship fast, clinicians who understand crisis, and operators who've founded companies. Every conversation here raises your bar.
Our culture - We've all experienced times when we needed help – that's why we care deeply about this work
- We bring perspectives shaped by gutsy choices – immigrating, founding companies, career pivots, living our identities openly
- We move fast but sustainably (no burnout culture here)
- We're collaborative and non-hierarchical – good ideas matter more than tenure
- We listen in all moments, whether things are going well or not (and not just on work stuff)
- We work with care and urgency because people rely on us on their worst days
- We start every week with a genuine personal check-in and end on Fridays with a check-out with a rotating leader
- We're technology realists who believe human ingenuity should be focused on reducing suffering
Our benefits - We are small and nimble, so you'll get all the benefits of joining a growing team that's having a global impact:
- Mission that matters: Your work here saves lives every day
- Competitive salary + meaningful equity: Everyone shares in the financial upside
- Hybrid flexibility: 2 days/week in our Auckland office
- Supportive team: We bring our full selves and genuinely care about each other
You shouldn't choose us if… - We're not a fit for everyone – and that's okay.
- We're driven, really driven: Our mission is personal to us. If you're not passionate about doing things differently with mental health support, you might find it a bit much.
- We're small: We're early on our journey, so no specialised roles and no "that's not my job."
- We're a startup: We're still figuring things out, which means incomplete information and unexpected changes.
