  • Play a key role in projects with real, nationwide impact
We’re working with a large, purpose-led organisation based in Wellington, whose work has a tangible impact nationwide. They’re investing in better systems, tools, and processes to support that mission.

They’re now looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead a significant strategic project focused on improving how the organisation operates. This is a delivery-focused role, balancing digital solution implementation with operational and process change. Once this initial project is complete, you’ll continue to lead other high-priority initiatives aligned to broader organisational goals.

You’ll join a team that cares deeply about outcomes, collaboration, and doing work that genuinely matters.

About the role

In this role, you’ll be responsible for end-to-end delivery across multiple workstreams. This includes coordinating digital platforms, process improvements, and organisational change, while ensuring delivery stays on track in terms of scope, timing, and budget.

You’ll work closely with operational teams, technical specialists, and senior leaders to ensure solutions meet real-world needs. Clear communication, structured planning, and proactive risk management will be key to your success.

What you’ll be responsible for
  • Leading the delivery of complex, multi-workstream projects
  • Coordinating dependencies across digital and operational initiatives
  • Developing and maintaining project plans, budgets, schedules, and risk registers
  • Managing risks, issues, and dependencies proactively
  • Engaging stakeholders across operational, technical, and leadership groups
  • Facilitating workshops and supporting decision-making
  • Providing regular reporting to governance forums and senior leaders
  • Supporting adoption of new systems and processes through effective change and communication
What we’re looking for
  • Proven experience delivering large-scale projects in complex environments
  • Strong understanding of digital solution delivery and business process improvement
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Experience working with Agile/Waterfall delivery approaches
  • Confidence managing budgets, resources, risks, and reporting
  • Experience in public sector, operational, or mission-led environments is an advantage
  • Relevant qualifications in project management, business, technology, or equivalent experience
Desirable:
  • Project management certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or AgilePM
Why this role is worth considering
  • Work on projects with real, visible impact across Aotearoa
  • Lead meaningful initiatives that improve how people work and deliver outcomes
  • Join an organisation that values inclusion, collaboration, and development
  • Flexible working arrangements considered where appropriate
