The opportunity The business is evolving its core platforms to support increasing volume, complexity, and growth across manufacturing, distribution, and operations.
This work includes:
- redefining core ERP domain and data models
- reworking how orders, inventory, warehouses, and fulfilment are represented and connected
- clarifying where data is mastered and how it flows across systems
- modernising legacy components through phased, low-risk approaches
- establishing architectural foundations that scale with the business

What you’ll be responsible for
Architectural direction:
- Define and evolve the future-state architecture across ERP, WMS, OMS, finance, and supporting platforms
- Own system boundaries, responsibilities, and data ownership decisions
- Balance long-term architectural integrity with delivery priorities
ERP domain and data modelling:
- Shape ERP domain models covering orders, inventory, products, pricing, suppliers, customers, and shipments
- Model entity lifecycles and state transitions across systems
- Guide data harmonisation, migration, and schema evolution
- Ensure data structures support scale, accuracy, and operational clarity
Integration and platform design:
- Design asynchronous and event-driven integration patterns
- Ensure core ERP systems remain stable as integration complexity increases
- Partner with engineering and cloud teams to implement architectural designs
- Support phased platform modernisation through clear transition paths
Leadership and influence:
- Act as a senior architectural voice across technology and business teams
- Translate operational challenges into clear architectural strategies
- Mentor others and contribute to the organisation’s overall architecture maturity
What we’re looking for - Deep experience with a major ERP platform such as SAP, Dynamics 365 Supply Chain, Oracle SCM, Infor M3, or JD Edwards
- Strong understanding of supply chain, warehouse operations, and order fulfilment at scale
- Proven experience designing ERP domain and data-centric architectures
- Clear thinking around data ownership, lifecycle, and consistency
- Experience producing and owning architecture artefacts and decisions
- Ability to operate across strategic design and detailed problem-solving
Experience with cloud and event-driven integration patterns is beneficial, alongside a strong foundation in ERP and back-office systems.
