  • Own end-to-end product design from research through to polished UI
  • Work in a product-led team where design decisions shape the roadmap
  • Use modern tools and emerging AI workflows to improve how design gets done
A little bit about the team

We’re working with a Wellington-founded software company building a global product. Their customers are people doing meaningful work across physical, environmental, social, and technical domains, and the platform exists to help them do that work more effectively.

The team is close-knit and collaborative, and everyone has a genuine hand in shaping the product. Design is valued as a core part of how the product evolves, not something tacked on at the end.

About the role

We're looking for an experienced Product Designer to work across design and user research, helping turn real user needs and business requirements into thoughtful, engaging product experiences.

In this role, you’ll work closely with the Head of Product Design and cross-functional partners to improve usability across the platform. You’ll be involved in everything from early discovery and concept work through to refined UI, contributing to the design system and using research and data to guide decisions.

You’ll also be encouraged to stay across evolving design practices and tools, including the practical use of AI-assisted design workflows where they genuinely support speed and quality.

About you

To hit the ground running, you’ll have solid experience as a product or UX designer, ideally in a SaaS or B2B environment.

You’ll enjoy getting close to customers, running or contributing to research, and turning insight into thoughtful design. You’re comfortable working end to end, from early ideas and prototypes through to polished UI and working with engineers to bring designs to life.

You care about usability, accessibility, and detail, but you’re also pragmatic and know when to keep things simple. You communicate clearly, collaborate naturally, and are happy working in that slightly blurry space between design, product, and engineering.

On top of that, you’ll be confident working in tools like Figma, curious about new design approaches, and open to experimenting with emerging tools, including AI, where it makes sense.

Experience in a growing product company, consultancy, or agency environment will be a bonus.

About the environment

You’ll be joining a team where design is respected, ideas are shared openly, and people enjoy working together. There’s room to experiment, learn, and have an impact without layers of process getting in the way.

What now?

If this sounds like a role you’d enjoy, we’d love to hear from you. Apply with your CV and a portfolio!
