About the Company

Our client is a fast-growing leader in the identity and access management space, delivering MFA and passkeys-as-a-service solutions that enable trusted brands to deploy secure account experiences at speed. Their platform empowers organisations to seamlessly integrate advanced identity features — such as passwordless MFA, passkeys, biometrics, and ID verification — into complex workflows with minimal engineering lift.

With a mission to power and enable the global digital trust economy, the company is building the infrastructure for a safer, frictionless digital world. They are committed to accelerating the transition away from outdated security models toward modern, scalable, and user-friendly identity systems that reduce fraud and empower trust.

About the Role

As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will sit at the frontlines of customer engagement and product development. This is a highly dynamic, customer-facing role where you’ll bridge the company’s technical capabilities with the unique requirements of enterprises and high-growth startups.

You’ll lead integrations of the platform into a wide variety of systems, create reusable developer resources, and support customers through the full lifecycle — from pre-sales demos and proof-of-concepts to post-sales implementations. Your work will have a direct impact on customer outcomes, helping organisations deliver secure, frictionless user experiences that strengthen trust worldwide.

This is also a role that places you close to product innovation. By capturing customer feedback, integration challenges, and developer needs, you’ll play an active part in shaping the product roadmap and ensuring the platform evolves to meet real-world demands.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guide enterprises and startups in integrating the platform into CRMs, SaaS platforms, and bespoke technology stacks
  • Contribute to SDKs, connectors, libraries, and sample code to simplify adoption and accelerate developer success
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor during pre-sales demos, proof-of-concepts, and post-sales rollouts (including international travel as needed)
  • Produce high-quality developer resources such as documentation, blogs, videos, and walkthroughs to enable customer self-service and scale integration efforts
  • Advocate for the product by capturing customer insights and pain points, feeding them back into the engineering and product teams
  • Ensure seamless delivery of customer integrations, reducing friction in both sales and implementation cycles
  • Build strong relationships with clients, ensuring measurable impact on their success
Skills & Experience
  • Strong background in solution engineering, systems integration, or pre-sales engineering
  • Hands-on experience with APIs, SDKs, and enterprise software integrations
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence in customer-facing environments, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms
  • Experience creating technical content such as documentation, blogs, or explainer videos, or the willingness to develop in this area
  • Familiarity with identity, MFA, passkeys, or security concepts (advantageous)
  • Prior experience in customer facing roles in consulting/solution delivery environments is highly desirable
Tech Stack & Tools
  • Languages & Frameworks: JavaScript / TypeScript, REST / GraphQL APIs
  • Developer Tools: GitHub, Postman, API documentation frameworks
Why Work Here?
  • Flexible location — Auckland preferred, but fully remote-friendly
  • Work with cutting-edge identity and security technology, shaping the future of MFA and passwordless authentication
  • Engage directly with global enterprises and high-growth startups across diverse industries
  • Influence product direction through direct customer insight and technical leadership
  • Opportunities for international travel to support clients and build relationships
  • A collaborative culture built on transparency, continuous improvement, and a “builder’s mindset”
  • Freedom to experiment, learn, and grow in a supportive environment that values curiosity, communication, and initiative
