What you’ll be doing - Lead and grow the function - support, mentor, and guide engineers while building capability and structure for the next stage of growth.
- Drive roadmap delivery - work closely with founders and leadership to ensure technical execution stays aligned with business goals and customer needs.
- Shape architecture and delivery - balance immediate delivery with long-term planning, ensuring the platform can scale effectively.
- Champion excellence - instill practices that strengthen quality, reliability, and developer experience.
- Build for scale - play a key role in expanding the engineering team across New Zealand and into Australia.
What you’ll bring - Proven experience leading or mentoring engineering teams, ideally in a startup or high-growth environment.
