We’re on the lookout for a manual tester to join a small, growing QA team. If you like spotting bugs before users do, enjoy writing clear test cases, and want to be involved in building better processes from the ground up, this could be a great fit.
Right now, testing is all manual and the team is working on building out regression coverage. You'll be hands-on from day one, helping shape how things are done as the team scales. There’s also a move towards automation in the near future, so it’s a good time to get involved.
What you’ll be doing - Writing and running manual test cases across a web-based product
- Logging bugs and working closely with developers to get them fixed
- Helping build out the team’s regression testing
- Adding input on usability and edge cases
- Getting involved in sprint planning and standups
- Helping set the foundations for future automation work
The team is leaning towards using Playwright with TypeScript or JavaScript, but that’s not set in stone. More important is your experience testing web applications and your ability to work well with others.
What we’re looking for - 2 to 4 years of manual testing experience, ideally in SaaS or product teams
- Comfortable writing your own test plans and documenting issues clearly
- Good understanding of QA practices and agile workflows
- Some experience with API testing and basic SQL
- Someone who’s collaborative, curious, and not afraid to speak up
You’ll be in the office in Wellington, working closely with the QA lead and developers. The role is a good fit for someone who enjoys the details, wants their work to be seen, and is keen to help shape how QA is done as the team grows.
