We’re working with a fast-moving software company building a product used by teams around the world. They’re expanding their engineering function and looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer who’s comfortable working across modern web applications and curious about what happens under the hood.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys taking ownership of their work, solving complex problems, and contributing to a collaborative, engineering-led culture. You’ll focus mainly on frontend development using React and TypeScript, but there’s also scope to work across Go, Docker, and Kubernetes as the platform evolves.
There’s a significant roadmap ahead, with plenty of new frontend development coming up in including updates to the core application and several new user-facing portals built on existing backend APIs.
What you’ll do - Design and build well-structured, maintainable frontend components using React and TypeScript
- Collaborate with designers and backend engineers to deliver performant, reliable interfaces
- Contribute to architectural decisions and help shape the direction of new UI frameworks
- Work with APIs and backend services, with the chance to contribute to Go-based systems over time
- Improve quality and maintainability through code reviews, testing, and CI/CD automation
- Bring new ideas to the table and help lift engineering practices across the team
What you’ll bring - Proven experience building modern web applications in React and TypeScript
- Strong understanding of frontend architecture, component design, and performance optimisation
- Familiarity with backend development (ideally Go) or the ability to learn it quickly
- Understanding of containerised development environments (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience in product development and collaboration within agile teams
- A proactive mindset with strong communication and problem-solving skills
