Our client is an established and growing website analytics platform. What makes it different to all the others and the big one being google analytics? They are an open source software, a code/platform that you can download and install on your own server.

They are a mission driven company, and their mission is to work as a community to create the leading open digital analytics platform that gives every user full control of their data. Their product aims to deliver a great service to their users and customers and ultimately set businesses up for growth and success.
 
We are looking for an Engineering Manager to join the remote-first team, in a New Zealand-friendly timezone. You will be working on developing and nurturing a friendly and welcoming culture of high-performance.   

About the role
 
As the Engineering Manager, you will be overseeing all our 4 engineering leads and report directly to the CTO. You will be the interface between the technical team, the product management team, and the business. You also ensure that the team accomplishes their projects' goals within time and quality standards. This role will start with 4 direct reports with scope to double in size. 

About you
  • You have experience with leading a team of developers (team lead, tech lead, engineering managers etc
  • Manage all the activities of the Software Engineering Teams to set attainable goals for teams to ensure that projects are completed on time and within quality standards 
  • You have a deep understanding of engineering practice
  • Strong competency in PHP and JavaScript development (full-stack) or similar, writing automated tests, databases and SQL queries, and web & application security.
